5K Run - 8:00 AM

5K Walk - 8:15 AM 

PACKET PICK UP WILL START AT 7AM AND CLOSE AT AROUND 7:45AM.

YOU WILL NEED TO PICK UP YOUR SHIRT AND BIB BEFORE THE RACE STARTS. 

This 5K Run/Walk has been organized as a benefit for the Marcum Terrace Playground Development.

Awards and door prizes will be available.  All proceeds benefit the Marcum Terrace Playground Development Fund.

Through the proceeds of this 5k Run/Walk the members of Crew Community Church, the United Waym and the National Day of Action Committee will be able to contribute to this great cause and development project for our beloved city of Huntington.

The National Day of Action Committee approved this project as one of several the Committee, United Way and local volunteers are pledging to complete over the next year. United Way will mobilize individuals in groups in the region to beautify the entryway to Huntington on Hal Greer Boulevard, the 20th Street viaduct, and concrete street sign posts throughout the city; as well as build a playground for Marcum Terrace."

5K RUN
All participants will receive a short sleeve t-shirt and an official race time. Race begins at 8:00 am. 

5K WALK
All participants in this non-competitive event will receive a short sleeve t-shirt and will be eligible for a door prize. No divisions will be used. Please no bikes, skateboards, or rollerblades on the course. All walkers must be registered and have a race number to participate. This event begins at 8:15 am.

TEAM CHALLENGE
Participants will be eligible to participate as a member of a registered team. Examples include coworkers, friends, family, etc. All you need is a team name under which the members are registered. Prizes will be awarded for the team with the lowest average race time.

PRIZES
An overall first and second place prize will be awarded per gender:

• First place - $100
• Second place - $50

Additionally, first place prizes ($25) will be awarded for each age division and the team challenge winner. An awards ceremony will begin at 9:00 am, during which door prizes will be drawn for all participants. Winners names will be available at the registration table.

RESULTS
The 5k run will be professionally timed by Tom Plummer using The Chip, with final results available within minutes of the finish. Full results will be available 24 hours after the race.
